AutoCAD to PDF Converter batch converts AutoCAD DWG/DXF file to PDF without the need of AutoCAD.
Pros: Shareable PDF documents help collaboration. For example even when your partners and suppliers do not have AutoCAD they would be able to view drawings and get them printed if your manufacturing drawings are converted into a PDF. This application helps you do just that and you do not need either a AutoCAD or an Acrobat to do this. The conversion process of the AutoCAD to PDF converter is a batch process. The interface lets you collect a list of drawings. They can be files or folders and specifically folders of DWG files or DXF files. You can specify all sub folders in a folder to be included. Remove a specific file or the whole lot of them from the list to arrive at the final list of files to be converted. Page, view and layouts are retained in the converted files. You can rename the batch automatically if you want. Combine multiple drawings into one document if necessary, scale the drawings for conversion, if required.
Options for conversion are available in several groups. Output sizes and colors lets you select page sizes, layouts, colors etc while SHX and XREF choices let you choose the cross reference and font details. Output layout and pen size/line width details also can be chosen. Finally some PDF properties also can be set. These include author, subject, keywords etc. PDF bookmarks can be created. You can optimize PDF output for print, press or the web. This application is capable of converting the drawing files from all the release versions to vector PDF without a hitch. It converts DWG and DXF files between R12, R13, R14, R2000 and R2004/2007/2008/2009 formats. The Pro version also supports command line operation.
Cons: No problematic issues noticed.
